Michael Jackson ‘Never Satisfied With What I Do’
Michael Jackson, who’s been receiving phenomenal reviews for his role as the Scarecrow in “The Wiz,” tells us, “A lot of scripts have been coming in and I’ve been getting a lot of compliments from singers and actors.”
How has he been reacting to the kudos? “Very carefully. I take it as a learning point. I could never take it any other way. I just know I can do so much more than I do now, and what makes me mad is I don’t take the time.”
Is he happy with is work in “The Wiz”? “Yeah, it was okay. I’m never satisfied with what I do. A lot of really dramatic scenes I was in were cut – but I understand that process.”
What Michael wasn’t particularly happy with either, he says, is the scene “when she tells me about going to see the Wizard. I wanted to make the whole feeling of it more exciting. Like I say, I’m never satisfied with anything.”
